Anne Hathaway's Cottage

On to the next phase of my overseas adventure.  Helen Campbell and I drove up to Nottingham yesterday to stay with her cousins Keith and Gina.

On the way we made a stop to visit Anne Hathaway's cottage in Stratford Upon Avon.  She was married to the famous brilliant playwrite William Shakespeare.

The cottage was the childhood home of Anne and her family.  The house underwent a major renovation and was doubled in size after Anne lived her.  The original cottage was only two ground floor rooms.  So excited to be here.

One of the original rooms, the kitchen.

Upstairs!

Several bedrooms upstairs with rare furniture from the family.

The other original room downstairs where the whole family would have slept.

A beautiful English cottage garden.

Lovely peaceful woodland surrounding the house.

Wonderful visit.
