I had my final class for the year in Nowra yesterday.  The ladies there in my third "Lambton" group are making some fabulous versions of my quilt design.  I hope you enjoy the following photos.

The Stitchers Cupboard Update

If you missed out on a kit of fabrics for my new Christmas "Westhampton" cushions, the girls at The Stitchers Cupboard have just received a shipment of the same fabric in a gorgeous red colourway.  Lindsay is cutting kits for this pattern now.  Phone 02 46558348 to order one.

It will be fabulous in red!

On the class front, Karen completed her stunning pineapple quilt.  We designed this as we went because my original design was just a cushion.  It grew and grew!

Here is a close up.

Jan decided to make the "Westhampton" cushions in traditional red and green poinsettias.  She will hand quilt them on her cruise.

Jenny is progressing on a pretty version of "Wentworth".

Cathie sent me some photos of her completed "Romance" medallion.  This is one of my older designs.  Maybe time to get this one out again!

Another Class in Mulgoa

I taught again today (Sunday).  The girls had some lovely show and tell as well as our annual exchange of Christmas presents.  Thanks ladies.

Kate has completed a beautiful version of my "Fairy Floss" quilt in soft colours.

Jan has completed a very pretty version of "Now and Zen".

Di was working hard to appliqué the flowers on some "Upsy Daisy" placemats in bright colours to match the border floral.

Di also showed me the exquisite embellishments she has sewn onto a Christmas stocking panel for her grand daughter. Amazing work.

There was a wonderful oyster plant in full bloom outside the classroom.  They must like hot weather, unlike me!

FABULOUS WORK AT THE STITCHERS CUPBOARD

Lots more to show from seven days of teaching in a row.

We added several borders to Julie's beautiful version of "Netherfield" in pink, teal and soft brown.

Jeanette decided to make my "Cherry Ripe" quilt design in soft blue/green and brown.  She finished the centre pineapple block in Friday sit and sew class at The Stitchers Cupboard.  Lovely.

Mooneen has completed all of her blocks for "Pemberley".  We laid them all out to choose colours for the sashings.  It is just spectacular.

Lyn has almost completed her blocks for "Lambton".  Wow,  stunning.

"Westhampton" Cushion Pattern and Kit Now Available from The Stitchers Cupboard.

I have had lots of interest in the photo I posted recently of my hand quilting.  I have had another bout of the flu and only felt well enough to sit and stitch. BloggerImage

I was working on two matching Christmas cushions in a gorgeous neutral taupe colourway.  I decided to use simple machine piecing and construct two of my favourite blocks: churn dash and shoo fly and let the fabrics and the hand quilting be the feature.  Here is the finished result:

I have now completed the pattern and an optional kit of the same fabrics is also available from The Stitchers Cupboard in Camden, phone 02 46558348, for mail order.
