Living Colour Exhibition at Palmerston North

I was able to view up close and personal the amazing quilts of the Living Colour Exhibition curated by Brenda Gael Smith.  It is here in Palmerston North for the Symposium.

If you get a chance to view this exhibition, I can highly recommend it, the quilts are just beautiful.

Here are some of the highlights for me:

"Ordinary Folk Are Amazing" by Sue Duffy of Australia

"Colourful New Zealand" by Mathea Daunheimer of New Zealand

"Now You See Me..." by Brenda Wood of Australia

And the three together:

"and on the seventh day He rested..." by Sandy Corry of Australia

"Flower Power" by Anne Jolly of New Zealand

"Autumn Colours" by Caroline Sharkey of Australia

"Big Red" by Susan Mathews of Australia

"Buffalo Gourd" by Betty Busby of the USA

Just stunning.  For more information and great detailed shots of all the 32 quilts in this exhibit, see livingcolourtextiles.com.
