Pemberley Class at Hobbysew, Kings Park

We had a great day yesterday working on "Pemberley" quilts at different stages.

Here are some photos of the beautiful work being done.

First is Rosemary's quilt centre.  She is using fabrics from her vast stash of oriental fabrics in gorgeous colours.  Japanese fabrics are so great to fussy cut as they have so many different flowers and textures on them.

We also chose a beautiful flower in purples for her scallops around the oval - even though we made Swiss cheese out of a big piece of floral fabric - it will be worth it!

This is Lynne's version using her stash of reproduction fabrics.  This is looking really lovely.

This is Kerry's version.  She has sewn her scallops in position and has been working very hard on all the applique around the oval medallion.

Here are some close ups:

Here are Jenny's double dresden rings for her outside blocks. She is further along with her quilt.  Love the colours she has used and the fussy cutting.

If you would like to join this class, we meet the first Thursday of every month at Hobbysew Kings Park.  The class will continue next year when some of the girls will be making "Netherfield".
