Registrations are Open for Quilt Symposium Manawatu 2015

It is very exciting that after so much anticipation and preparation, registrations are finally open to attend the next New Zealand Quilt Symposium in 16 - 21 January 2015 to be held in Palmerston North, a few hours north of Wellington.

The Symposium is a fantastic opportunity to enter a quilt, see an exhibition, visit the merchants mall and attend classes from many local and international tutors.

I will be teaching three different quilts over the five day period.

The first is "Spikes and Specks": you will learn the intricacies of paper foundation piecing and machine applique techniques during this two day course.

Next is "Ashbourne Mill": this one day course will provide you with the skills to accomplish paper foundation piecing and work with templates.  There are some hand applique embellishments or you could choose to applique by machine.

I will also teach "Rosings" during a two day course.  This is the fourth in my Jane Austen Quilt Collection.  Techniques include paper foundation piecing on the machine and lots of English paper piecing and hand applique.

If you are interested in attending, please make sure you register as soon as possible because class choices are allocated in numerical order according to the date of receipt of your registration form and payment.

More information and all class details can be found on the following link here.

I hope to see you in beautiful New Zealand!!!

  1. I had pre-registered and everything but Symposium is only a week before our daughter's wedding and it's too far away from home for me to squeeze it in - shame! Hopefully your classes will be a great success and you'll be at the next one!
