Take a look at Tonie's gorgeous completed "Hunsford" began in class at Carolyn's Quilting Room in a previous class.  Her colour scheme is mostly red and green with beautiful Florentine style borders.  Wow!

Fabulous!  Well done Tonie.

Lots more fun with hexagons and applique.

Sandra's Gorgeous "Pemberley" and "Longbourne"

Sandra is working on several of my Jane Austen Quilt Collection at once.

Here is the show and tell she brought with her to "Meryton" class at Wodonga today.  Firstly is her stunning "Pemberley" which is very beautiful in shades of blue, brown, gold and burgundy.

Next is her gorgeous "Longbourne" with lots of fussy cutting in pink, brown, blue and green.

This is Sandra's "Meryton" centre - lots more hexies.  Love it.

Well done Sandra on your beautiful work.

"Meryton" Class at Carolyn's Quilting Room in Wodonga

We had a very relaxing time at Carolyn's today, working on hexagons and appliqué for the centre panel of our "Meryton" quilts.

Some girls had already completed their hexagon medallions before class.  Take a look at the variety of beautiful fabrics and colours used by Sandra, Merrilyn, Anne and Tonie.

Here are some more in progress:

Carolyn's is located in a very tranquil, rural setting with a great workshop room attached to the shop.

We were very spoiled with delicious lunch and yummy cake.

I am looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow.

My ladies at sit and sew class at The Stitchers' Cupboard were working on various projects this week.

Karen was working on her "Rosings" centre, yes she is doing some of the applique by machine.

This is Julie's gorgeous "Meryton" centre, trimmed down now and ready for the first border.

This is Kylie's amazing block for her bright version of "Meryton".

Here is Sally's stunning "Pemberley" centre, made from Moda's Astor Manor range of beautiful florals in shades of apricot, red, brown and gold.

Great work, ladies.

Lovely Day at Jukejema Quilting Barn - Fabulous Show and Tell

I began to teach both "Meryton" and "Rosings" at Jukejema today.

Here are some photos of the "Meryton" centres the ladies have been making.  First is Karen's in shades of pink, red and taupe with lots of special cutting.  Secondly is Donna's with some absolutely gorgeous fussy cutting as well. Congrats ladies.

The show and tell of completed quilts from previous classes was spectacular!!

This is Louise's "Florentine" - love the black floral sashings. Love the whole quilt.  Beautifully detailed and sewn.

This is Leanne's stunning completed and quilted "Pemberley" - just so gorgeous, wow, wow, wow!

And for her next instalment - Leanne's completed "Longbourne" in blues, reds and pinks with yellow accents.  Now off to the quilter.

This is Di's amazing "Longbourne" centre - she used a lot of the same fabrics as Leanne with a totally different result.  Di has used a soft blue striped floral for her sashings.  Clam shell borders to come.

Thank you Kim for another lovely day.

Lots of Work by The Richmond Stitchers

My Richmond Stitchers group are always prolific, trying all sorts of techniques and projects.

Here is a sample from last Sunday:

Mary 1 turned her confetti cottage garden into a beautiful cushion:

Karol is making a series of confetti trees - one for each season:  gorgeous!

Judy had a huge show and tell with three completed quilts: Black Magic, Marrakesh and my Civil War BOM.  Fabulous.

Di was thrilled with how her Christmas whack and stack turned out - me too.

Kim has finished two major bed sized quilts of my Whack and Stack star design for gifts.  Spectacular!

So proud of you girls.
