Classes for "Hunsford" Begin

I always say it is much more exciting starting a new project rather than finishing.  Finishing is over rated!

So it was for a class of ladies commencing their "Hunsford" journey today.

My original quilt, the fifth in the Jane Austen Collection, was made exclusively from red, black and cream.  I am looking forward to seeing all sorts of different interpretations from my students.

Here is the centre block of my Hunsford:

Here are the different versions started today.  First is from Jan in blue and brown.  Fabulous centre star in blue stripes!

This is from my "fussy cutting queen", Natalie, living up to expectations.  She is working in lots of Moda's "Little Black Dress 2" in black, cream, grey and gold.  Wow!

Next is Glenda.  Look at that gorgeous centre star!

This is Glynn's, looking striking in red and black.

Jenny is using a beautiful Japanese striped fabric in blue for her borders so we fussy cut some for her centre star.  Very clever!

This is by Sharon in blues and browns.  This is wonderful!

This is Kay's but we decided the star is not stunning enough so we have changed to something much more amazing....stay tuned for more later.

Thanks for a fun class, ladies.
