Last Instalment on my New Zealand Visit

I am now home safely from Auckland.  I had the best time in beautiful New Zealand.  Thank you to everyone I met who made me feel so welcome and a huge thank you to Robyn and Rachel for your generous hospitality.  It was great fun.

I thought I would finish up my report with some more show and tell of the amazing completed (mostly) work ladies brought in from classes on my previous visits.

While I did not see it in person, Lynda sent me a photo of her stunning “Spikes and Specks”.  She won a first prize ribbon in the “Member Made” section of her local quilt show.  Congratulations Lynda, it looks amazing.

I did get to see Karen’s beautiful “Spikes”. Love it Karen.

I tried some artistic style shots of  my original “Spikes and Specks” on the balcony overlooking Long Bay.  Very happy with how it looks.

Trevena showed me her gorgeous centre for “Longbourne”.  Very soft colours.

Now to Auckland to some fabulous quilts.  This is Cindy’s stunning version of “Lambton”.  Love it and the great quilting by Leeanne Hopper of Quiltmekiwi.

Then two amazing, totally different “Pemberleys”. The first one is by Joy in soft colours with some Japanese wovens.  Quilted by Susan Trendall.

Next, this is Philippa’s stunning red “Pemberley”.  You probably all know red is my favourite colour.  Wow!  Also beautifully quilted by Susan Trendall.

Here is Robyn holding up her beautiful centre for “Pemberley”, started last time and lots of progress was made this time.

It was beautiful to watch the weather and different light at different times of the day on the waters of Long Bay.  We arrived to this view on Thursday.

But mostly it looked like this with lots of cloud.
