Wonderful Quilt Show At Epping

Veronica and I were delighted to attend the Epping Quilt Show at Carlingford on Friday afternoon.

The Convenor of the Show, Carla Bosch, gave us a lovely welcome and showed us around the Show.

The Show is held every three years and this year the Show was supporting Ovarian Cancer.

I had taught the delightful Epping Quilters last year and earlier this year and was very pleased to see a number of quilts finished from those workshops.

Here are some of those quilts.

The first photo shows Carla with her version of my "Milliefiori" whack and stack quilt.  It is always amazing to see how different fabrics turn out using this method of cutting triangles and constructing hexagon shaped blocks.

Here is Carla and I.

Next is Angela's version.

This next version is by Edna.  She actually used the same fabric as Carla but in a different colour scheme. It looks totally different like a coral reef. Beautiful.

Here is a close up.  Some of the blocks look like star fish.

I also taught some of the Epping ladies my "Bloomin Logs" quilt.  Jann decided to make three blocks and turn them into a lovely table topper. She is also working on more blocks for a quilt.

Here is a close up of one of the blocks.  Very beautiful. I love the way she fussy cut the leaves with a small paisley design. Her colours are lovely.

Congratulations to Carla and her Committee for all the hard work they put in to make a wonderful and successful Quilt Show.
