Lovely Compass Work

The girls at Lyn's Fine Needlework have been working hard on their compass blocks.

Here are the centre compass blocks completed by Hanna and Lesley.

Hanna is using soft pretty colours for her whole quilt.  Lots of Nancy Halverson fabrics. She has done a beautiful job!

Lesley is using William Morris fabrics in rich colours of brown, blue, green and pink. The fabric surrounding her compass gives fabulous texture with those branches, it almost looks three dimensional.  Great choice! She has also made the first of her flying geese segments.  These will surround the centre block.

I cannot wait to see these two quilts finished!

Maryanne was working on her "Spikes and Specks" blocks in wonderful batik fabrics.  Her colour scheme is mainly blues and purples with some soft green included.  Really Gorgy!

Still waiting with bated breath for a photo opportunity of Meredith's "Pemberley"!
