ILLAWARRA QUILTERS’ QUILTAWAY 2013

I am delighted to be teaching at the Illawarra Quilters' Quiltaway in November this year.

The weekend retreat will be held at The Tops Conference Centre, Stanwell Tops, NSW.  More information can be found on their link at http://www.thetops.com.au.  We will arrive after 5pm on Friday 15^th November, and depart at 4pm on Monday 18^th November, 2013.

Fully catered, residential quilting escape. Shared rooms. Tutors included.

I will be teaching my "Spikes and Specks" quilt over a two day workshop.  This quilt of blocks with lovely spikey points is paper foundation pieced on the sewing machine and sashes are machine appliqued with vines and leaves.  Here is a detail of the quilt.

I will also teach the applique techniques used to make my "Sheherazade" table runner, pictured below in a one day workshop.  The bias stems have been appliqued by hand and the flowers are button hole stitched by hand.
