My Visit to the Sydney Quilt Show 2019 - Modern Quilts

I always have a great day at the fabulous quilt show put on by our State Guild, QuiltNSW.  This year was no exception.

As you enter the Show area, you see a fabulous hoop display of all different techniques made by Guild members.

Here is my hoop, a foundation pieced Star with hand quilting.

I had the pleasure to spend the day with Katy Law of Nutmeg Quilting.
Here she is with a quilt she quilted for Michelle Marvig called “Stashbusting Garden”. Both gorgeous.

Amazing appliqué by Merelyn Pearce.  (Quilt labels are shown after each quilt).

I always love Sarah Fielke’s playful quilts, and how true!

This was stunning by Jane Rundle.

Always love Wendy Williams.  So much fun.

This was beautiful by Narelle Birchall.

And of course, the Best of Show by Catherine Butterworth.  Wow!

  1. Wow, thank you Katrina, what stunning quilts and machine quilting of these master pieces. Thank you so much for sharing so we at home can view these up close as well. Robyn sent me pics of Donwell Abbey yesterday which is another of these stunning quilts. 💕💕💕. Lyn
