Quilting Retreat in the Hunter Valley

Just got back from a fabulous three days away on retreat in Kurri Kurri.  Lots of fun, laughter and sewing.

Kelly completed this whole quilt from my “Jelly Friends” Pattern.

Here are some of the blocks under construction.

I offered two main projects at the retreat: “Jelly Nation” and the “Miss Lucas Star Satchel”.

Several ladies worked on another jelly roll pattern called “Jelly Nation”.

Natalie worked steadily on all the different pieces in a production line procedure.

Perseverance paid off as she nearly finished joining all the blocks for the centre of the quilt.

Very pretty.

It was great to see other colour variations emerging.

By Sue.

By Natalie.

By Glenda.

By Raylene.

Miss Lucas’ Star Satchel was made by Michelle.  Love the beautiful brown floral.

And Sharon in delicate Japanese prints.

And Colleen.  She is going to appliqué hexagons in the Little cream squares.

Lots of concentration in class.

Three ladies concentrated on my Mr D’Arcy appliqué Cushion.  They look gorgeous.

This one is by Chris.

Louise.

And Robyn.

Narelle worked on lovely 1930s flowers for “Highbury”.

Kerry worked on borders for her “Highbury” in pink and brown.

Bernie worked on her dramatic “Lambton” in black and purple.

Robyn was working on a very beautiful “Hartfield” Centre.

Colleen began string piecing for “Charlotte”. Very pretty fabrics.

Here is the whole group outside at the Hunter Valley Hotel Academy.  Thank you so much ladies for your company, laughter and support of my work.  Enjoy your projects.
