Trip to Broken Hill for the Silver City Quilters

I am having a great time in Broken Hill, meeting up again with friends from the Silver City Quilters.  This is a very active and productive group of quilters in the far west of New South Wales.

This year I am teaching a three day "Lambton" quilt workshop.

This is the block of quilts I brought with me, sealed in a vacuum seal bag to reduce the space they take up in the luggage.  The luggage allowance is very restrictive flying into Broken Hill.

Karen brought her beautiful "Rosings" quilt to show and tell.  Karen began this quilt in my workshop in Broken Hill held in May last year.

One of my students rescues baby kangaroos for RRANA and rears them until they can be released into the wild.  This year she was nursing a gorgeous grey jokey called Thomas.

Here are some of the colour combinations the girls are making for their "Lambton" quilt centres.

Great work girls, see you tomorrow.
