Teaching at The Patchwork Passion Retreat in Auckland

Yesterday I flew to Auckland to teach at the annual Retreat for Patchwork Passion.

I was picked up and driven straight to the Vaughan Park Retreat Centre within the Long Bay Regional Park for the beginning of this three day retreat.

What a beautiful spot on the north coast.

I had a lovely welcome by Robyn of Patchwork Passion and enjoyed giving a show and tell presentation for the class participants. I took as many  quilts as I could fit in my luggage.

We have a fabulous room for my workshop.

This is the view.

I was lucky enough to hear the native Tui bird sing for me in the afternoon after class.  How cool is that?

Demonstration time.

I am teaching "Pemberley" and "Lambton".  Here are some of the quilt centres in progress.

Now it is wine o'clock.  Cheers.  More to show tomorrow.

  1. Hope you have a lovely time in our country. I have a pair of Tui`s that visit and sing when I`m hanging out the washing. They do visit at other times too. Love hearing them sing. I would have loved to join one of your workshops but the distance was too much for me. I am slowly working on your quilt `Pemberley` as a BOM from Grandmothers Garden. Each month parts will be sent to me. Thankyou for deigning your lovely quilts. I get `Homespun` magazine and from # 150 I`m working on `Fluer`. Enjoy your time with the lovely ladies. Happy Stitching.
