Day Touring Around Central Victoria

My friend Colleen and I had a day off today after all the busy activity of the Castlemaine Appliqué Group and teaching for Threadbear.

We slept in (a little) and left our gorgeous Berkeley Street Townhouse.

We drove to Daylesford to visit the Convent Gallery.  A gorgeous location for Devonshire tea, some history and shopping.

Here is Colleen about to enter the Gallery.

Love the stained glass doors and windows and the texture of the moss on the roof tiles.

The view of the surrounds from the bell tower was lovely even if the weather was icy.

We drove on to Maldon, a very quaint historic town which developed during the gold rush period but is now a small country town.  Love the verandahs and wide cobbled gutters.

Now sitting cosy in front of the fire about to hand stitch.  Home tomorrow.
