Beautiful Class Work

I do enjoy seeing all the gorgeous projects my students are making. By the length of this post, I realise I have not posted on class work in a while.  I hope this makes up for it.

From class at Lyn’s Fine Needlework, Margaret has been busy making six pointed star blocks for her lovely “Hunsford” in black, red, green and gold.

Adrienne has done lots on her gorgeous “Lambton” Centre.

At The Stitchers Cupboard, Pam has almost completed a very feminine version of “Highbury”.

Christine has also nearly completed her delightful “Highbury” in pretty colours.

This is Natalie’s lovely “Highbury” Centre.

Here is Jenny’s gorgeous heart corner block for “Pemberley”.

Robyn was working on the centre for “Wentworth”.

Jenny is making beautiful pastel blocks for “Hartfield”.

Julie is working away at gorgeous blocks for “Lambton” in bright fabrics.

Another Julie is making beautiful “Hartfield” blocks.

To finish on a bright note, Kelly has just received her “Millefiori” back from quilting by Kathy Vanbeers.  Looks fabulous!

Wow, great work everyone.

Three Beautiful “Pemberley” Quilts Completed

I love to receive emails and photographs from my students and ladies who have purchased patterns from my online store.  Lately I have seen some stunning completed versions of “Pemberley”.  This was the very first quilt in what has become my Jane Austen Quilt Collection.  It is still my favourite.

I do sell this pattern and the kit of papers and cutting templates from my online store here.

Jo-Anne sent me these photographs of her magnificent “Pemberley” which was custom quilted by Belinda Betts of Eucalypt Ridge Quilting.  Is is just stunning, Jo.  I love it.

Here are some close ups.  You can see the beautiful detail in the quilting.

I love the shape around the double Dresden Block with the little circles.

Next is Mooneen’s “Pemberley”, also custom quilted by Belinda Betts.

Lots of feathers on the quilting of this one.

Lynne already made a “Pemberley” some years ago for herself and now she has made another version for her sister’s King Size bed.  Absolutely gorgeous work Lynne.  Lynne created a second wavy border and added lots of stunning border strips to make it bigger.

Heather Pollard quilted this one.  She very cleverly custom quilted the centre appliqué panel and used an Edge to Edge pattern on the rest.
This is a more cost effective and very successful option.

Here is this beautiful quilt on the bed.  Gorgeous!

Congratulations ladies, all exceptional quilts.

Workshop Day with The Southern Highlands Quilters Guild

I taught a great class on Tuesday for the Southern Highlands Quilters at the Moss Vale RSL Club.

The ladies elected to work on two of my Whack and Stack designs, “Millefiori” and “Marrakesh”.  These are always fun classes as the designs look totally different design on fabric choice.

My “Millefiori” quilt was made is a beautiful Japanese floral.

The ladies chose a wide variety of different prints in various colours.

My other design created Whack and Stack fan blocks which will be appliquéd on to a background square.  Here is part of my quilt, “Marrakesh”.

Carla chose a fabulous fabric with bright colours and a huge variety in pattern.  Wow!

Look how they pop on a purple background.  Stay tuned for this one!

This beautiful fabric looks amazing on red!

And more fans.

These look so different on a different background.

Great venue and a fun day.  Thank you ladies.  I look forward to seeing more blocks when I return in October!
