Wednesday was the final class for the year at Hobbysew in Kings Park. We had a lovely day with lots of chatter, laughing and sewing.
Ronda has been working very hard to complete all of the quilt as you go blocks for her version of my double sided log cabin quilt called "Sakura". This is probably the most challenging quilt I have ever made to teach. Ronda has done a great
job. We decided to add a simple 4 inch border quilted in straight lines. We were able to prepare this ready for quilting. It will be added next time.
Julie has been steadily working on the blocks for the outside border of "Lambton" in her favourite colours of teal, pink, purple and grey.
Lesley has joined all of her large whack and stack hexagon blocks for "Millefiori" together.
Then it was time to make a collection of 12 small hexagon blocks. They are all gorgeous.
I will be returning to teach four days of Summer School at Hobbysew on the 10, 12, 17 and 19 January. Regular classes will resume on the first Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in February, 2017.
