Another Two Day Whack and Stack Class at Dorrigo Retreat

I had a great time teaching an enthusiastic group of ladies my whack and stack techniques.

Most of the ladies were making "Millefiori" while two made fan blocks for "Marrakesh".

Here they are at the end of the first day showing all their blocks.

Here is a selection of some of the blocks made.  Some of the girls completed all 23 blocks in class and then commenced putting them altogether.  Wow!

Here I am in the middle of a lovely group of ladies.  Great work girls!

I had a great time at the Misty Mountain Retreat.  Thank you to Caroline and Chris for the amazing organisation, the other tutors and all my students for making it such a happy and fun experience. Quilters are the best people!

Away at the Misty Mountain Retreat

I had a day off yesterday so drove down to Bellingen with fellow tutor Lisa Walton.

It was a beautiful day for a drive and shopping and we had lunch at The Butter Factory.

Back to work today.  I was teaching my Whack and Stack quilts to a lovely group of ladies.

Here are some close ups of all the amazing "Millefiori" blocks the girls made.  Amazing!

Thanks for a fun day ladies.

Another Lovely Class at Misty Mountains Getaway

Today I was teaching three different quilts at MMG, a choice of Jelly Friends, Jelly Mosaic and Yuletime Stars.

The ladies were so clever and hard working, they achieved lots.

These girls were making Jelly Friends.  It is amazing to see how different they look using different fabric ranges.

These blocks are for Jelly Mosaic in Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

Here are Jeanette and Di showing their blocks at Show and Tell later in the day.

These blocks are from a green batik jelly roll.  Gorgeous.

These blocks are by Barbara.  Very pretty.

Some of the girls were making blocks for Yuletime Stars.  These are made by foundation paper piecing on the machine.

Here are all the ladies showing their work.

There was a spectacular sunset on the way back to the Lodge tonight.

Here we are now, teachers in the kitchen making home made pizzas.  Yum.
