Nowra Girls Excel at Jukejema Quilting Barn

My students at Jukejema are doing some gorgeous work on their "Meryton" quilts.

This is Di's gorgeous version in blue and brown - one of my favourite colour combos.  Love it.

This is Donna's wonderful version - just stunning.  We decided on a rich pink for the sashings.

These are Sandra's corner bouquets in soft and pretty fabrics.

Why didn't I take photos of the other girls' work and the Rosings centres?  Must have been laughing too much!  Sorry girls.

Hobbysew Kings Park Saturday Class

I am now available to teach a Saturday class at Kings Park Hobbysew - the first Saturday of each month.

Students will have a chance to choose from my portfolio and will be able to achieve lots during the one day workshops: 10am to 4pm.  Their phone number is 9621 4000.

Here are some of my quilts: Navaho Star, Oriental Ladies, Ashbourne Mill and Cherry Ripe.  Also, check out my Quilt Gallery on the tab above.

More on "Meryton"

Here are some more versions of amazing "Meryton" quilts being made by my clever students:

The first one is by Christine who is making a soft pink and green version with touches of mushroom and soft purple.

This is Kylie's final block all pinned in place - not long to go now!

This is Lianne's fabulous modern version in black and white with hot pink and turquoise.  Wow.  Groovy baby!

Great work girls!

Anne's Very Different "Longbourne"!

Anne has sent me some photos of her fabulous "Longbourne" quilt which she began in class with the Misty Mountains Quilters.  I loved teaching this group as everyone was committed to working hard and each student was working in a totally different colour scheme.

Anne made her version in mostly Kaffe Fassett fabrics.  Her quilt has a bright and whimsical feel.

I love it!  Well done, Anne, and see you later this year in Bath for our Jane Austen tour!

The back is gorgeous as well...

Kylie's Quilts at the Quilt Show

It is so great to see my students so proud of their work and displaying it at The Quilters' Guild of NSW Quilt Show.

Kylie exhibited two of her gorgeous Jane Austen quilts this year: Hunsford and Longbourne.

Needless to say, Kylie loves the colour pink.  Her "Hunsford" was beautifully custom quilted by Katy Law.

This is Kylie's stunning "Longbourne" - it looked superb hanging up, beautifully quilted by Veronica Appleyard.

I have Kylie's permission to show you these quilts.

Monthly Class at Patchwork Plus, Miranda

Come and join me at Miranda on the third Wednesday of the month for a full day workshop on my Jane Austen Quilt Collection.

The ladies are doing some amazing work there - take a look.

This is Pauline's fabulous "Meryton" in soft, lacey fabrics.

Here is Pauline's corner block:

Margarte is just starting on her "Meryton" journey with these beautiful colours:

Irene is putting together her wonderful "Netherfield" in muted shades of red, teal, gold and green. It is going to be a spectacular quilt.

Class work at The Stitchers' Cupboard

Here is an update on some of the work being achieved in my classes at The Stitchers' Cupboard in Camden.

This is Kylie's beautiful centre of "Meryton" with fabulous fussy cutting and gorgeous colours.

This is Narelle's super cool bright version on "Meryton" - makes me smile!

Here is her pieced block to go with it.

And partially completed corner block.

Sue has done lots of fussy cutting in William Morris fabrics. Wonderful!

This is Julie's divine version using lots of the Moda Plum Sweet range and rich green.

Here is Julie's lovely corner block.

Here is Sharon's pieced block for her red and blue version. Wow, love it.

Teacher Accreditation and My Day at the Quilt Show.

I was very proud to receive my Teacher Accreditation Certificate for Workshop Techniques from the Quilters' Guild of NSW yesterday.

Here I am with Amanda Daly (Vice President of the Guild and Teacher Accreditation Committee Chairman) receiving my certificate.

I was also able to work as a demonstrator for the Guild.  I sat for a while stitching hexagons and had some lovely conversations with passers by.

I also finally saw my Winchester quilt hanging in the red and white quilt display.

Thank you to the sponsors for my great prizes.

Hopefully you can see some of the detail of the beautiful quilting by Belinda Betts.

It was a busy day but great fun.
