Trip to Carolyn's Quilting Room

Lovely Weekend at Carolyn's

Veronica and I had a wonderful few days visiting the ladies at Carolyn's Quilting Room at Wodonga.

It was wonderful to see lots of the same gorgeous girls we met last visit in September 2012.

Some of the girls brought Show and Tell to reveal the work they have accomplished on their "Netherfields".

I was absolutely stunned by this sensational version in the most amazing brights by Michelle.  This is the only really bright version I have seen and I just love it!

Here is Margaret's marvellous version in the colours of blue and pumpkin:

This one is by Kerry and is so gorgeous in those stunning colours:

On Friday I was teaching "Florentine" and "Pennsylvania".

Here are some of the blocks Lorraine finished in class:

Here is Michelle's block for her new bright version of "Florentine":

Here is the happy group from the Saturday/Sunday class doing "Longbourne", from left to right (back row) Carolyn herself, Robyn, Donna, Jeanette, Wanda, Michelle and (front row) Kerrie, Helen, Jacqui, me, Margaret and Maureen

Here are some of the girls showing off their "bits".  First is Donna with a hexagon frame and a baby 3/8 inch hexagon flower:

Here is Michelle with her urn.  She assures me this quilt will be more subdued but looking at that lovely bright urn, I'm not so sure!

Here is Wanda hiding behind the start of her urn.

Here is Helen quietly working away on her hexagons.

This is Jeanette showing her gorgeous "fussy cut" urn. Wow!

Robyn showed us some "fussy cut" elongated hexagons - there was a rush on this fabric!

Wanda has reappeared holding up her first clam shell.

These lovelies are by Maureen.

Thank you, Carolyn, for having us at your wonderful shop - an oasis of reproduction heaven!  Thanks to all the ladies for making Veronica and I feel so special and for having lots of fun with us.  We will be back...
