Show and Tell in Adelaide

I am teaching in Adelaide for The Quilting Room over this weekend.  Last night we had a fabulous show and tell of Quilts my students have made from previous workshops.

Andy has a fabulous sense of colour and is not afraid to create very different colour schemes. Here are some photos of her fabulous quilts.

The first one is a lovely “Longbourne” in pinks and William Morris fussy cuts.

She made another version in very bright and beautiful.

Wow, what a fabulous “Lambton” on a bright yellow background!

Now, this is her “Hartfield” in hot pink and green!

Here is Shirley with her beautiful “Pemberley”, started at Quilt Encounter in Adelaide a few years ago.

This is Marg’s beautiful “Hartfield” from last year’s retreat.

Dani has attended several of my Adelaide classes.  Here is her gorgeous blue and cream “Meryton”, in the best tradition of blue willow.

And here is Dani’s stunning “Lambton” in bright Jinny Breyer palette fabric on a black background.

Here is the “Pemberley” Centre being worked on by Lucky.  Looking gorgeous.

More on “Donwell” and What I have been doing

Some more ladies have started their “Donwell Abbey” journey at The Stitchers Cupboard.

This beautiful centre is by Regina. Fabulous fussy cutting!

This stunning centre is being created by Julie.

By Jenny, love the bees.

By Sue.

Sharon has nearly finished her centre.  Wow!

Progress on this Centre by Glynne.  Hi to you,  Glynne and Michelle.

Kerry sent me this photo of her spectacular “Pemberley” which she machine quilted herself.  She was awarded a first place in English Paper Piecing at the recent Gundagai Agricultural Show.  Congratulations Kerry, it is so beautiful!

I have recently completed a new machine pieced jelly roll quilt to be called “Jelly New Year”, pattern coming.

I have also been working on my new EPP project, adding some appliqué borders.

David and I braved the heat and went out and about to photograph a couple of quilts in the wild.

“Wentworth”

And “Pemberley”, both available as patterns and kits on my website store.

Happy stitching!

Latest Work in Class at The Stitchers Cupboard

Fabulous work appearing in classes lately.  Here is a sample of all the beautiful stitching I have seen in show and tell.

Chris has completed her magnificent “Lambton” with exquisite hand quilting.  Congratulations Chris, it is amazing.

At The Stitchers Cupboard, Jen showed me her completed “Hopetoun” quilt started in Summer School.  Looks lovely.

And how is this for a bright happy version of “Hopetoun”, by Kerry?

Maryse has been working hard on blocks for her striking “Hartfield”.

These are the same blocks but made by Irene.  Amazing how different they look in different fabrics.

Chris has also been working on the centre of her wonderful “Netherfield”.  Several more borders have been added.

Here are some gorgeous “Pemberley” blocks in soft colours by Jenny.  Love it!
