Class for Waverley Patchworkers in Melbourne

I spent a lovely weekend in Melbourne teaching my “Spikes and Specks” quilt to a group from the Waverley Patchworkers Inc.
This is a large and very active quilting group.

The ladies loved working from my new all colour pattern booklet and template set.

The pattern for this quilt is available on my website here.

Here are the ladies at the end of the weekend holding up their beautiful blocks.

Great venue for conducting the class. Very busy students.

The ladies made great progress on their blocks in lots of variations in colour and style.

Thank you for a great weekend ladies.
Thank you to Linda Crouch for organising the weekend and to Mariya Waters for all the lovely home hospitality.
Happy stitching everyone.

Classes at The Stitchers Cupboard

Closer to home this week.

Here is Jennie’s stunning “Netherfield” quilt, now quilted by Katy Law of Nutmeg Quilting.
This is a magnificent piece.  Imagine this on your bed?

This was my second design in the Jane Austen Quilt Collection.  It is inspired by antique English frame quilts.
The borders are either English paper pieced and hand appliquéd or machine pieced.

Beautiful work, Jennie.  Congratulations.

Here is a lovely centre for “Hunsford” by Maryse in blue and red.  Love it.

These are the gorgeous “Pemberley” Dresden flower blocks Jenny has made.

This is the centre for “Hartfield” by Irene.  Wonderful work.

Two stunning versions of “Highbury” by Julie.  Love the bright pink hexagon frame.

By Chris in soft tones.

At last the weather is cooling off.  Time for some evening walks.

Magnificent Quilts and Great Classes

I have had another busy week, travelling, teaching, sewing and a good dose of laughing.

Class at Lyn’s Fine Needlework at Baulkham Hills saw some great progress on Adrienne’s centre for “Lambton”.

Love her colours.  We worked on picking fabrics for two more blocks.

This is Margaret’s stunning centre for her “Hunsford”.

I then travelled up to Newcastle to teach a class for Jenny at Quilt Essentials.  Lovely shop with beautiful fabrics.

Thank you to all the ladies who joined me in class making my Cordelia Cushion.

Rachael brought in her magnificent “Hartfield”, which she began in class at my Kurri retreat last year.  Wow!

Back to Sydney for more classes at The Stitchers Cupboard.

Here is Jan’s super gorgeous completed “Longbourne”, quilted by Kathy Vanbeers.

Beautiful in soft purples and teals.

Another amazing finish, this is Colleen’s version of “Pickled Paisley” in Japanese fabrics. Double wow!

Mooneen is working on my “Aussie Sue” quilt pattern.  So cute and fun.

Thank you to lovely Lyn for the delicious treats for my birthday, lemon cheesecakes and raspberry friands.

I am hoping to get lots of my own sewing done this coming week!  We will see.  Lol.
