Lots of Sewing.....

I have been taking a small break from teaching as much and have been ploughing through my own sewing.  I am working on the outside blocks for the next Jane Austen quilt, "Hartfield".  I can see the end in sight and am getting very excited about finishing it!  It will be my major teaching piece for 2017.

I have also sewn the binding on "Wentworth" for the Sydney Quilt Show.  Just a glimpse at the moment, fabulous quilting by Belinda Betts.

Lots of ladies are progressing on their "Lambton" centres.  Here are some photos of all the gorgeous work being done.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Ladies at Richmond have been working on "Pemberlini".  This is Karol's lovely centre with a cameo of Jane Austen herself.  Love it.

We have just celebrated ANZAC day here in Australia on April 25.  My son David marched with his navy cadet unit, TS KANIMBLA.  Very proud of him.

Happy Stitching everyone.

Lots of Class Work at The Stitchers Cupboard

Some absolutely stunning versions of "Lambton" came to class today, with their owners of course.

This one is by Regina in gorgeous shades of purple, green, gold, pinky red and a touch of blue.  She wins the prize for being up to date!

This beautiful piece is by Shirley in rich shades of green, gold and orange.  Amazing fussy cutting.  Shirley has a great eye for colour.

This soft pastel piece is by Jane in pretty blue/greens, brown and pumpkin.

This gorgeous centre is by Melanie in blue, brown and orange.

I am very lucky to have such clever students!

Iain had show and tell with his completed bright and beautiful "Now and Zen" quilt.

Lots of work was also achieved in Friday sit and sew.  It was great for me to get back to basics to teach a beginner one of my early sampler quilts.  Please remember, that I continue to teach all of my older quilt designs which include a very large number of machine pieced samplers and medallions.

Maryse completed her first block for my "Manderley" sampler.  She is going to make her version in black, red and grey.

This is my original "Manderley" quilt, quilted by Deborah Louie.

Chris was working on completing the corners of a large hexagon English paper pieced quilt.  We were adding the blue borders so the edges of the quilt could be squared off.

Robyn was working on the Dresden rings for her "Pemberley".

Kerry chose the next brown border for her "Lambton" centre.

Great work, everyone!

Pat's Wonderful "Meryton"

Pat has almost completed her bright and beautiful "Meryton" from class at Lyn's Fine Needlework, Baulkham Hills.

Just two final borders in blue and orange to go.  Fantastic, Pat.

Back to Work at The Stitchers Cupboard

My gorgeous Monday class have been working hard in my absence on the cruise.

We had a spectacular show and tell session when I went back to work this week.

This is Jan's completed "Hunsford" in reproduction blue and brown.  Quilted by Kathy Vanbeers, only the binding to go.

The blue Paisley border makes it look quite lacey.

Jan has also finished her pieced "Now and Zen" quilt as a gift to her niece.  Her favourite colour is purple!  Looks great.

Natalie has been working on her beautiful "Netherfield".  I love her flower and fussy cut leaf border.

Julie has made progress on her lovely "Lambton" centre.  Love it.

Great to be back, girls.
