The Last Day at Illawarra Quiltaway

We had a lovely last day at the Illawarra Quilters Quiltaway today.  The rain continued unabated and we had some wild winds but all was cozy inside as we worked on my "Sheherazade" table runner or continued to make "Spikey" blocks with our newly acquired paper foundation piecing skills.

It was amazing to see the beautiful waterfalls cascading over the mountains opposite our convention facilities!

The native trees were very beautiful with their amazing twisted branches.

Here are some banksias outside our classroom window.

Genevieve celebrated her birthday today with a very special purple birthday cake.  It was yummy too!

Here is a very delicate table runner with all the pieces glued down in soft shades of pink and brown.  Gorgeous!

It is always sad to pack up and leave when you have had such a great time but it is always good to get home again to the family.  Congratulations to all the organisers of the Quiltaway.  You did a great job!
