Lovely Day at Cattai

I had a wonderful day last Thursday with my Richmond Stitchers girls at Judy's at Cattai.

She has a lovely home in a superb location surrounded by bush land.  The only problem for me was the dried brown snake she found on the lawn!

Lucky I did not find it!  In stead I enjoyed roaming around the garden looking at the flowers.  Everything was very lush after the recent rain.

The grevilleas were in flower.

So we're the kangaroo paw.

The banksias were all dried out but still look fascinating.

Now to the sewing... The girls have been working on their Le Moyne star blocks for their "Rococo" quilts. The first set belong to Kim.  She is using a bright and beautiful Australian wild flower print which is certainly creating some gorgeous designs. (Please excuse the striped table cloth underneath).

The next set belong to Judy.  Her fabric is more pastel and her blocks are soft and pretty.

Well done girls.  See you at the Christmas party.
