Introducing New Quilt "Fleur"

Here are some photos of my latest quilt which I completed over the Christmas break.

It is inspired by the beautiful floral antique Dutch quilts I have admired in some of my history quilting books.  These feature lots of gorgeous chintz fabrics and simple piecing.

Here is "Fleur".  It features some machine applique flowers and some quick but effective pieced borders.  I really enjoyed using lots of different floral fabrics from my stash and lots of lights in different colours.  I wanted it to have a 'tapestry' feel.  I am really pleased with it.  I think it will make a lovely bed quilt.  Veronica quilted it beautifully (as usual) with an old fashioned floral design.
