Fabulous Whack and Stack Quilts

I returned to Moss Vale today to teach a second workshop for the Southern Highlands Quilters.  It was amazing to see the progress the ladies had made on the quilts over the past month.  In fact, a number of ladies had already completed their quilts!  Wow, spectacular results ladies.

Here are some photos of the beautiful versions of “Marrakesh”.

Carla set her stunning fan blocks in a different way.

For this elegant one, we set the blocks in a serpentine arrangement.  Looks gorgeous.

More lovely blocks with tea cups and butterflies.

Then there were some spectacular versions of “Millefiori” using Whack and Stack 60 degree triangles. Wow!

Some ladies were completely finished, quilted and bound!

Other ladies were laying out their large hexagon shaped blocks in rows.

And others worked on their small hexagon blocks for the corners of the quilt.

What a kaleidoscope of colour and movement!  Congratulations ladies and thanks for a great class.

Thank you also to my dear friend Carla for organising this and for your hospitality.  Love your tulips, always a reminder of Bowral.
