We have been meeting for quite a few years (is it ten?) and we always have a great Kris Kringle presentation of handmade presents every year. This year was no exception!
Here are some of the photos I took on the day:
Here is Mary 1 with the Christmas wine glass lamp shades I made for her.
Here is Kim with a gorgeous handmade beaded Christmas decoration made by Jan, as well as a great mug bag.
Here is Mary 2 with a beautiful Stitchery hexagon bag made by Karol. Wow!
Here is Kate, very pleased with a beautiful wooden tape measure dispenser. The magnificent item on the table in front was made for me by Mary 1. It is a gorgeous topiary pin cushion with wooden spool holder complete with stitchery and hexagons.
This is Di holding up a lovely crazy patchwork lidded box made especially by Judy. It was covered in lace, embroidery and beading.
This is Karol showing off her monogrammed photo album made for her by Christine.
Sorry, I seem to have missed you Judy and Jan. We then had a display of sewing everyone has been doing. Here are Mary 2, Kim and Karol holding up Karol's "Rococo" blocks.
Here is Mary 1's completed "Jane" cushion. Her colours are lovely. She says they were leftovers!
Here is Judy's completed "Rococo" quilt. It looks stunning!
Here is Kate showing one of her blocks made from a magnificent peacock fabric.
Then we laid them all out to arrange them for placement in the quilt. She is actually making two quilts. Here they are.
Here are some close ups. It is always amazing to see all the different patterns created by cutting up the same fabric for my whack and stack quilts.
We love you too!!
