Wonderful Retreat for Patchwork Passion

Lots of fun teaching “Hartfield” over a three day retreat for Patchwork Passion.

Here are some of the amazing zigzag borders from the class.  Fabulous to see the variety of fabrics chosen.

We worked intensively on choosing colours and fabrics for the centre block.  Here is some of the gorgeous work achieved.

Judy was working on her “Pemberley”.  She made the scallops slightly smaller to suit her fabric.  It is looking lovely.

Robyn worked on some beautiful blocks for her “Pemberley”.

Here she is holding up her beautiful quilt centre.

Here is the gorgeous centre for “Longbourne” started by Cindy this weekend.  Wow, she works fast.

This is Anna’s Centre.

Here is my amazing group of students plus gorgeous Robyn.  Thank you so much for having me come to teach for you.  I loved every minute.

Patchwork Passion Retreat at Vaughan Park

I am having a great time with a lovely group of ladies at the Vaughan Park Retreat Centre at Long Bay.

Most of the group have started making the centre block for “Hartfield”, lots of tiny hexagons, all beautifully “fussy cut”.

Two of the ladies started “Longbourne” and have made great progress.

Here is Cindy’s work in purples, greens and taupes.

This is Anna’s vase coming together.

To top it all off, this is the view from the classroom.

I have finished these hexagons tonight.

Relaxing Morning in Auckland

I enjoyed visiting One Tree Hill and Cornwall Park in Auckland.  It was a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies and grass so green.

Also a visit to Acacia Cottage, built in 1841 and now erected in the park.

Beautiful anenomies in bloom.

Then on to Long Bay for our retreat.

What a wonderful group of ladies. Thank you for your company and all the laughs.

The class was held in the historic Onehunga Community House, originally the school built in 1901..

I had a quick visit to the gorgeous shop at Patchwork Passion, lots of goodies there.

Looking forward to some time off tomorrow before we head off to retreat.
