Class at Patchwork Plus, Miranda

Another lovely day spent at the beautiful store Patchwork Plus with my great class.

Roh has been working very hard on the one inch hexagon frame to surround her "Longbourne" centre.  She was very excited to baste it on the borders.  Gorgeous!

Irene has done an amazing job on the centre of her "Hartfield" in beautiful rich colours.

Jenny has made a lovely "Pemberley" centre in soft, pretty fabrics.

Love my class, the third Wednesday of the month.

Extra Bits and Pieces

I have another project published in this month's (April) Homespun magazine by Universal Publishing.

It is my "Garden Pond" cushion which features fussy cut diamonds.

They also have a profile on my work.

I have been busy sewing some of my favourites lately, hexagons of course.

I have also started a new project for my July retreat, a paper foundation pieced folder cover in bright colours on black and white.

I have also written up the pattern for my Dresden Plate Table runner, available from The Stitchers Cupboard. (Phone 02 46558348 in Australia).

Cathie from Adelaide sent me this photo of her recently finished "Meryton" in purple, green and gold.  Looks fabulous.

Amazing "Hartfield" Centres in Different Colours

It was great to see all the different "Hartfield" quilt centres in class at The Stitchers Cupboard today.  How amazing to see all the different versions coming together in the various colour choices of the ladies.

Lyn has done a huge amount of work on her centre. Today she added the vine scroll borders and the purple border.

We also laid out all of the elongated hexagon medallions she has put together and played with the colour placement.  This was the final arrangement we decided on.

Kerry has also made lots of progress with her amazing bright version.  I love it.

Here are some more photos from Classes at Hobbysew Kings Park.  I have a couple of spots in my Thursday class now, let me know if you would like to join me to make any of the Jane Austen quilts on the first Thursday of each month.

Suzanne was auditioning fabric to complete her first block for "Spikes and Specks".  We laid out several options, but this is the one we chose.  Looks great.

These were other options. Amazing how it looks so different with different surrounds.

Anna made the centre block for her "Blue Lotus" quilt.  Gorgeous, Anna!

This is Wendy's centre block for "Hartfield".

Great Birthday Class at Hobbysew

Thank you to all my gorgeous girls in class at Hobbysew Kings Park for spoiling me on my birthday yesterday.  I had a great day!

Christine has completed her beautiful "Charlotte" quilt.  Looks great.

Sharon has made progress on her circles for "Spikes and Specks".  Looking wonderful with beautiful combination of fabrics.

Anne has also made great progress on her blocks for "Meryton" in very soft shades of pink and green.

Meredith has been preparing pieces for "Wentworth".  Looking gorgeous with special fussy cutting.

I have also been having fun with relaxing stitching on my hexagons.
