Jane Austen Whitecroft Tour September 2019

I am very excited to be joining Whitecroft Traditional Tours on a “Life and Times of Jane Austen” tour in September 2019.

This is a magnificent tour, organised to perfection and led by amazing women.
I have had the privilege to attend two of these tours and would go again tomorrow if I could.

Here are some of the highlights.

Stunning “Highbury” Centres

So lovely to see all the ladies returning to class with their “Highbury”  quilt centres underway.  Even though I was sick with the flu, Kathy from The Stitchers Cupboard, sent me these pics.

Beautiful Show and Tell of Superb Quilts

I am always so excited to see ladies making beautiful quilts from my patterns.

Sue has completed an absolutely magnificent version of “Pemberley”.  I love it Sue.

Sue has attended two of my retreats held at Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley.  This is about two and a half hours drive north of where I live.  It is wonderful that lots of ladies local to Kurri can attend my workshops.

Here is the group at the conclusion of the weekend.  Lots of enthusiasm for hand stitching.

This is Sue’s stunning centre for “Hartfield”, begun at last year’s retreat.

Beautiful colours.

I was also thrilled to see this amazing version of “Ashbourne Mill”, started a few years ago in class by Janine.

Love it. Love Janine’s use of fabrics and adaptation to the borders.

I gave lots of demonstrations of my hand appliqué techniques during the weekend.

Thank you for a great weekend ladies.

Beautiful Class Work

Straight back to regular classes for me!  Where did February go?

This is Yaso’s dramatic, modern version for the D’Arcy Cushion, class at Hobbysew Kings Park.

Kerrie was working on beautiful blocks for “Hartfield”.

Jennie spent time stitching more appliqué on her gorgeous “Netherfield” blocks.

At Post Office Patchwork in Glenbrook, Judy has finished her lovely “Wentworth” quilt top.  Love it.

Janette continued working on a stunning version of “Lambton”.  Awesome.

I am leaving home for another retreat this weekend at Kurri Kurri.  Lots of ladies will be starting “Longbourne”.  Will post pics over the weekend.
