Adelaide Retreat: Pemberley, Lambton or Longbourne

I will be teaching at a wonderful three day retreat for The Quilting Room in Adelaide on the 25 - 27 March this year.  The venue of Warradale Urban School Camp is in metropolitan Adelaide and close to the airport.

Full details can be found at this website: https://thequiltingroom.com.au/retreats/quilting-retreats.

You have a choice of three of my most popular quilt designs in the Jane Austen Quilt Collection:  "Pemberley", "Lambton" or "Longbourne".

All of these quilts contain extensive English paper piecing and hand appliqué.  You will receive three days of tuition where I will cover all aspects of fabric selection, fussy cutting, EPP and invisible hand appliqué stitching.

There is plenty of time for lots of demonstrations and individual consultation.

Helen will also have fabric, supplies and lots of goodies available for purchase at the venue.

Here are some pics of "Pemberley":

Spectacular Quilts at The Stitchers Cupboard

Regular Monday girls back in class today and wow, what amazing show and tell one after the other!

This is Michelle's gorgeous version of "Wentworth" in my favourite combo of pink and brown.  Michelle began this in my Kurri Kurri retreat last July.  Love it, Michelle.  Just beautiful.

This is Glynne's absolutely stunning version of "Lambton".  I love the richness of the deep cream background with the softer pinks and blues.  I think this has to be one of my favourites, Glynne.

Sharon is continuing work on her amazing needle turned appliqué borders for "Henrietta".  This is going to be one spectacular quilt!

Jan lived up to her reputation of working very quickly and completed this very pretty version of "Charlotte" in a couple of days.

How is that for a start to the year?

Lots of Activity

All my regular monthly classes start up again this week, so there is lots of preparation happening in the Hadjimichael household (thank you James). My teaching schedule is on the tab at the top of my home page.

The printing and preparation of all my patterns takes us many hours.

BloggerImage

Also had time to finish quilting my new bright table runner which I have called "Jester" ( thanks to Kelly and Jan for this suggestion).  This will be a pattern and kit soon.

Also, lots and lots of typing for the new Jane Austen quilt "Hartfield". I need that pattern asap.

A little stitching therapy now.... hexagon happiness.

See you next time.

Summer School Wraps Up at The Stitchers Cupboard

Another January Summer School at The Stitchers Cupboard has finished now and it certainly lived up to the name.  We had some extremely hot days but were all happy to sew in the fun atmosphere and air conditioned comfort of this lovely store.

Thank you to Kathy and Lindsay for keeping us supplied with sweet treats and plentiful shopping opportunities.

Lots of ladies began my Summer School project, "Charlotte" and several completed the quilt during the last three weeks.  Great to see everyone had fun with this technique.

Here is Wendy who completed her "Charlotte" yesterday.  This is her very first quilt and she was extremely excited.  Go girl!

Michelle put together her lovely "Charlotte" blocks in bright pretty fabrics.  Just borders to go.

Maryse was working on her lovely centre for "Wentworth" and yesterday began sewing the pieces all together.

Maryse also brought in her completed version of my "Manderley" sampler which she made during Friday sit and sew classes in the colour scheme of black, white, red and grey.  It is stunning.  This was Maryse's very first quilt.  Well done!

Glynne has finished her gorgeously fantastic "Lambton" (sorry, left the camera at home so I will get better pics next week):

Thank you to everyone who attended my Summer School.  I appreciate your support!

All of my regular classes will commence next week.  I have updated my teaching schedule for 2017, available to view via the tab at the top of my home page.

Happy stitching until next time....

I have been working on another smaller project using some modern brights.  I know this is not my usual palette but it is fun to have a change!  Stay tuned.... pattern and kit will be available soon.

Jennie sent me these pics of her weekend sewing on her beautiful "Pickled Paisley" quilt.  Wonderful work.
