Fourth Jane Austen Quilt

Introducing "Rosings"

I am delighted that the fourth quilt in my Jane Austen series has been received very favourably.

The colour scheme is markedly different to the previous three quilts and the dark chocolate brown background to the applique felt like a risk at the time but everyone seems to like it.

The quilt was hung at the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne last month and received some very positive feedback.  It will be one of my two entries in the Darling Harbour Quilt Show this year.  The other entry is "Spikes and Specks".

Here is a photo of the quilt taken at AQC in April.

I will be teaching this quilt next year in 2013.  If you would like to do a class with me, please contact me and I will direct you to the nearest shop to you.

Regards,

Katrina

Class Achievements

Workshop Progress

Many students are progressing on the projects they started this year and some have completed their beautiful quilts.

Here is a look at some of the achievements - well done girls!

These are more of the compass blocks from "The Way Ahead" quilt class being conducted at Quiltsmith in Annandale:

Here are some of the gorgeous "Netherfield" quilts being made at Country Pickin's at the Corner at Dural:

This is Jenny's beautiful centre which has some lovely dark contrasts with the light fabrics she has used.  Can't wait to see more of it!

This is Pat's lovely centre.  She has done so well to get this far in a short time.

Here are some of the "Spikes and Specks" quilts also made at Country Pickin's:

This one is just stunning:

We put Denise's blocks together in class.  Wow!

Look at this gorgeous one:

I am so proud of all my students' work.  It is just wonderful to see all those quilts in different colours and see the girls happy with their achievements.

If you have a photo of your finished quilt, please send me a pic.
